Author Guidelines

Manuscript formatting checklist

For manuscripts in the sciences, we require these conventions.

  • Preparation and submission in Latex format (such as in Overleaf)
  • Double spacing
  • Numerical system of references and citations
  • Page numbers

For manuscripts in the social sciences, arts, and humanities, we require these conventions.

  • Preparation and double spacing
  • Harvard system of references and citations (author-date)
  • Page numbers
  • Submission in Word, OpenOffice, or RTF document file format

Any manuscripts in the social sciences that include mathematical formulae should be prepared in Latex format.

For all manuscripts, we require or advise these conventions.

  • Title and author(s) on the front page
  • Affiliation of author(s) on the front page
  • An abstract
  • Brief specification of author contributions after the conclusions

Once the editorial and review processes are completed and the article is finally accepted, the article will be published in PDF form in the next suitable and available edition of the journal.

Submission Compliance Checklist

Authors need to check and confirm that their manuscript meets the following conditions.

Original work

The corresponding author needs to confirm that the manuscript has neither been previously published nor is currently in the process of being submitted to another journal.

Previous work has been acknowledged and cited.

Previous publications of the author(s) closely related to the current manuscript research need to be properly acknowledged and cited.

Authorship

All authors of the manuscript need to be named on the title page of the manuscript. The corresponding author needs to confirm that all authors of the submitted manuscript have approved of the submission to CEASC.  Acknowledgments of any contributions that fall short of authorship must be made in the relevant section of the submission after the conclusions.

Consent for data storage

All authors of the submitted manuscript, represented by the corresponding author, consent to the storage by the journal of their personal data in conjunction with the submission and in accordance with the Journal's Privacy Statement.

Ethical standards

In the case of empirical research involving data collection, all authors of the submitted manuscript, represented by the corresponding author, need to confirm that the study conforms to an appropriate ethical review and clearance.

Journal Fees

There is no fee for the initial submission to the editor.

Upon editorial acceptance, an editing fee of $1250 is due.

Upon final acceptance for publication, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $250 is due.

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Processing data means collecting, structuring, organizing, using, storing, sharing, disclosing, erasing, and destruction of data.
